My research is driven by the fundamental need to address the inequalities faced by underserved populations, with the ultimate mission of improving their quality of life. This commitment shapes my ongoing Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Oxford, where I am supervised by Professor Sir Nigel Shadbolt and Professor Max Van Kleek (two of my favorite people in the world ๐).
My PhD research focuses on the inclusive development of LLM-based systems for novice technology users in high-stakes settings. I specifically focus on community healthcare workers in the Global South to assess how such technologies can empower these “extraordinary users.” Alongside my doctoral studies, I am also working as a Student Researcher at Google DeepMind in London, where my research focuses on co-creation with generative AI (research under a non-disclosure agreement).
Before joining PhD, I worked as a Research Fellow in the Technology and Empowerment Group at Microsoft Research India (MSRI). At MSRI, I conducted human-centered research in the domain of healthcare under the supervision of (the incredible) Dr. Bill Theis. My work at MSRI has given me the opportunity to closely examine the intricate technology usage and interactions among multiple stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem, including patients, and healthcare professionals.
Over the years, I have been privileged to contribute as an intern or research assistant at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including the International Labour Organization (๐๐๐) in Geneva, Switzerland, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (๐๐๐-๐), the Indian School of Business (๐๐๐), and the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (๐๐๐๐) under the Indian Space Research Organization (๐๐๐๐).

Projects:
I am dedicated to promoting the rich heritage of authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine globally through my Instagram page. The page has over 18000 followers.
Motivation to start the page: The trend of getting fit is on the rise. However, the importance of traditional Indian cuisine in upholding a healthy lifestyle is underappreciated. There is a need for Indians to embrace their own diverse food heritage and look at their traditional food wisdom as healthy. My Instagram channel is an effort in the same direction where I showcase authentic Indian foods that are healthy, easily available, affordable, and also suit Indian taste buds.

The page also helps me to express my creativity as I do the photoshoot of all the cuisines that I prepare. Attached are the images of few of my culinary preparation.
